How is Ten Yards made?

Ten Yards is entirely handmade in Brooklyn, NY, from concept and pattern to finishing touches. Because of this, items can take up to 14 business days to produce and ship. Due to the production process, items will vary slightly! Our quality control is tight, and we are always looking for ways to learn and improve.

Can I have you make something special made for me?

Yes! We love to do custom projects. However, if it is something that will require fittings (women's swimwear, tailored jackets), we don't feel comfortable working outside of the NYC metropolitan area. Fit is important and if you can't try it on in front of us, we can't make it fit you perfectly.

Do you run out of specific styles?

Style is forever, materials are temporary. All styles are always available, specific fabrics or prints are limited availability only. It's hard when you don't have your own fabric mill! Because of this, if you want an item in a specific color we will try our best to find it for you!

How do your sizes work?

Ten Yards is intended to be universal clothing, but it is patterned based off of men's sizing. Sizing is as follows:

TOPS

• XS: Women's 4/6 | Men's XS
• S: Women's 8/10 | Men's S
• M: Women's 12/14 | Men's M
• L: Women's 16/18 | Men's L
• XL: Women's 20/22 | Mens XL

BOTTOMS

• XS: 24-26 Waist
• S: 28-30 Waist
• M: 32-34 Waist
• L: 36-38 Waist
• XL: 40-42 Waist

All our fabrics are stretchy knits, so these are NOT hard and fast rules, just general guidelines! If you order something and it does not fit, please let us know, we will be happy to exchange it for a different size.

How long does it take to get my clothes?

For orders in the U.S., we ship via USPS Priority Mail. We ship International orders via USPS First Class International Mail. Priority Mail typically takes 5-7 business days. Please note that First Class International Mail can take up to 6 weeks to arrive depending on your location. The buyer is responsible for all additional customs charges for international shipping. These are estimates, especially with international shipping.

What if it gets damaged in the mail?

We pack and wrap items very carefully, but we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to items once they are out of our hands. If an item is damaged and the packaging is intact, please contact us ASAP!

I live in NYC and don't want to pay for shipping! Can I pick it up from you?

Yes! Just e-mail me for a special code and we can arrange a drop-off.

Can I return something?

Of course! We accept exchanges for reasons of fit. All exchanges must take place within 14 days of receiving the item. Please note that exchanges can take up to 14 business days to ship back to you, as most items are made to order.
